POLICIES & RULES
HOURS
Venue rental includes access to the premises for up to three (3) consecutive daylight hours the day before the event, access the day of the event from 9:00 AM to 12:00 midnight, and up to two (2) consecutive hours of access between 8:00 AM and 12:00 noon the day following the event.
Alcohol service will end at 10:15 PM or four (4) hours after alcohol service begins, whichever comes first.
Music will end no later than 10:45 PM.
Guests are to depart the premises by 11:00 PM.
Cleanup of all client’s items must be completed by 12:00 midnight the day of the event. Any client items not removed the day of the event must be packed up and staged by 12:00 midnight for loading the following morning during Client’s selected two-hour pick-up window.
ALCOHOL
Client assumes all liability for the service of alcohol.
Self-service of alcohol is not permitted.
Alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender.
Alcohol service may only begin after the ceremony.
Alcohol service is limited to four (4) consecutive hours.
Non-alcoholic beverages and food must be served while alcohol is being consumed or served.
Underage drinking is not permitted. This includes the bride and groom.
Guests are not allowed to bring alcohol onto the premises.
Open containers may not leave the premises.
Winn Homestead Events reserves the right to terminate alcohol service at any time.
If a guest appears intoxicated or is belligerent, Winn Homestead Events reserves the right to escort guest or client off the premises and call the authorities.
CATERING
Client must hire a professional caterer for food service. Self-catering is not permitted.
If client’s selected caterer has not provided services at the Winn Homestead previously, caterer must meet with Winn Homestead Events or Windrow Estate staff in person or via video call at least one week prior to the event.
Caterer is responsible for the removal of all their items, garbage over 300 gallons of capacity, and equipment by the close of the event.
Caterer is prohibited from dumping ice, food, grease, or any other substance on the facility grounds.
ENTERTAINMENT
DJs and small musical groups of the client’s choice are permitted.
Client assumes full responsibility for the contracted DJ/entertainers.
Winn Homestead Events reserves the right to limit the volume of any music.
Winn Homestead Events is not responsible for any items or equipment set up in advance of the event or left unattended.
No tape is to be applied to any barn surface including the floor.
Care must be taken to avoid damage or scarring of floors.
All equipment must be removed from the premises by the end of the event.
DECORATIONS
No nails are to be driven into any of the buildings or trees.
No tape is to be applied to any barn surface for any purpose.
The use of glitter, confetti, and jewels is discouraged. If used, the client must be diligent in gathering and cleaning up after use of these items. Should glitter, confetti, jewels or other scattered décor items be left behind, an excessive cleaning fee may be charged.
Open flame is only permitted outside and must be in containers. Fire danger may preclude the use of open flame; this will be determined by weather conditions and Winn Homestead Events staff, in their sole discretion.
All decorations, flowers, etc. must be removed by the close of the event.
Facility access for set up and decorating is allowed only during the rented time frame.
Winn Homestead Events is not responsible for items delivered to the facility.
DAMAGES
Client assumes full responsibility for any damage to the facilities and grounds including any caused by any vendor contracted by the client to be on the premises (e.g. Caterer, DJ, etc.).
Excessive cleaning will be charged at a rate of $100 per hour. Any bodily fluid expelled on Winn Homestead property will incur a fee of $500 per infraction.
LIABILITLY
Client is responsible for the behavior of all guests including children.
Winn Homestead Events shall not be held liable for accidents or injuries that should occur to a person attending the event.
Winn Homestead Events shall not be held responsible for any injuries suffered due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Winn Homestead Events is not responsible for damage to or theft from vehicles while parked on the premises.
ANIMALS
Animals are permitted on the premises only on a case-by-case basis and must be authorized by Windrow Estate and Winn Homestead Events prior to the event.
Each animal on the premises will require an additional non-refundable cleaning deposit of $100.
Client must provide adequate containment devices for any animal brought to the event.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS
Shoes are to be worn at all times.
Fireworks of any kind are not permitted. (Yep, sparklers are fireworks.)
Rice, birdseed, confetti, glitter, silk flower petals or similar items may not be scattered or thrown.
Client and client’s vendors must remove all items (e.g. décor, personal belongings, food, and beverages) brought onto the premises by no later than 12:00 midnight with the exception of items to be retrieved the following morning.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
Client must remove all garbage in excess of 300 gallons of capacity, including bottles, and food waste, by the close of the event. Any excess garbage left behind may result in an excessive cleaning fee.
Client is responsible for any rental items aside from what Winn Homestead Events provides. This includes delivery, setup, take down, and return.
Photos taken prior to or during the event may be used for display or publicity purposes for Winn Homestead Events. Client may request, in writing, the photos of their event not be used.
Driving and parking on lawn areas is prohibited. Winn Homestead Events staff may, upon request, allow access for loading and unloading under the direction and supervision of a Winn Homestead Events or Windrow Estate staff member.
Camper trailers and RVs are not permitted at events hosted on the Winn Homestead.
